Mutant Football League Review- Xbox One

Back in 1993 we were first introduced to Mutant League Games. Mutant League Football and Hockey was very popular back in the day.     Now, after a successful Kick starter, Digital Dreams has come out with Mutant Football League.  This game is very different from back in 1993 though. This action packed arcade style football game sacks the older games by a mile. Mutant football league features 18 teams. Each with their own 3 stadiums and all-stars hero type players. The field comes with different traps and obstacles. Landmines, Pits of lava and toxic waste, to buzz saw blades. If your players touch the traps, they are dead for the rest of the game. Be careful you can run out of players resulting in a forfeit. You can however take out your opposition as well. Late hits, kicking and punching downed players will make them take damage. With dirty plays, each team gets a unique set of plays allowing you to equip chain saws, and shotguns. Gain super speed mutate to ginormous size and steam roll the defense. You can even bribe the ref so he calls phony plays on the other team, call back touch downs and give random yard penalties for a few plays. If that ever happens to you, there is an option to attack the ref to kill him off. This brings out a harsher more strict ref.     The game looks great and runs smoothly. All the players are either skeletons, orcs, robots, mutated humans, and aliens. One mode called team scouting allows you to check out the teams before games to you can see top players, offense, defense strengths and weaknesses. This Game has a lot of modes. Season mode for playing as a franchise playing to make the playoffs. Playoffs mode lets you skip the lengthy season. Online for battling friends. And practice mode to test your skills. I love when sports games take a different approach to the game, Mutant Football League doesn’t disappoint. A NFL Blitz killer. MFL came out on PC last year on October, 31 2017 but later released on Xbox One and PS4 January 19 2018.   [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0BqURRKT8U[/embedyt]   MFL brings back some fantastic memories from my childhood battling it out on the field with friends when I was a young lad. MFL is a great game whether you are playing through season mode or battling it out online. Look for another title down the road from this developer because you know Mutant Hockey League will be coming out one day! Enjoy!
