Re-launch or Remake?

For years, video games have been remade, or relaunched. Depending on the game that is being re-released, it could have positive or negative repercussions. From games just being launched on new systems, like Sonic the Hedgehog, Banjo Kazooie, or even Perfect Dark, these games weren’t touched in any real way except to give the player achievements, and go back to the days of when they would play them on the old school system.                 Some games have a new twist, but left almost the exact same. The Mega Man X collection coming out will be the same game, charging your blaster but having a challenge mode where you battle two bosses at once. Some people prefer this compared to the game being remade. It’s all personal opinion as to how you’d want to play the game. Some of the games that have come out that are almost the same old game play but updated graphics, and battles would be along the lines of Spyro Reignited, Halo, or future release games like FF7, or Battletoads. In my personal opinion, I prefer the old graphics and having fun with the way that I used to play them. Gathering everything I can, running around and having fun. Now I know what you could be thinking… “Newer is always better”. Sometimes you need to reconnect with the old days just to remember how games were. Unable to save in the middle of playing, leaving the system paused and just turning the TV off, running out to do whatever was needed. Waiting… getting nervous that there wasn’t a power outage and just wanting to finish the game that you started! I have no complaints about playing old games with updated graphics at all. I just like the old school touch.   Let me know what you think, which do you prefer, an old school game left the way it is, but with a few new twists? Or a game revamped so that they can just launch another title?
