Sea of Thieves takes you on a journey that provides adventure, freedom and excitement as you sail the seas with your crew of treasure hungry pirates. Take on quests, set out for conflict and complete voyages to earn gold. Increase your reputation across the sea and become a legendary pirate that history won’t forget. Set on an open-world Sea of Thieves is everything you wanted in a pirate adventure game. Take on sea monsters, rival pirate crews and the pesky skeletons as you travel and search for your next big treasure hunt. Work together in your crew and take down some of the greatest treasures the sea holds.   [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5JIBaasuE8[/embedyt]   Sea of Thieves was developed as a multiplayer game and this is where Sea of Thieves Shines somewhat. Sea of Thieves allows players to play together no matter what ranking anyone is.  When you are progressing through the game you are earning reputation points through various trading companies that can earn you cosmetic upgrades and the options to take on new voyages as you progress. Trading companies are upgraded by completing various voyages that are earned and completed. A fantastic feature is the ability for each crew member to bring to the table their own unique voyage that they have earned and you will be able to choose which adventure you take on next. As reputation is earned you will have access to more challenging and rewarding voyages that will unlock all-new game mechanics to keep your treasure hungry crew happy.   [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tM5OymTNBzw[/embedyt]   Another great feature with Sea of Thieves is the ability to make friends on voyages you have earned which they may not have unlocked. This makes Sea Of Thieves exciting as you try to conquer the sea. You can enjoy Sea of Thieves solo but the game does really encourage multiplayer interaction. Working together as a pirate crew is beneficial to staying alive in intense battles as well as taking on some exciting adventures together. Sea of Thieves has also incorporated a communication system where you can use non-verbal preset chat options to help contribute to your crew if you aren’t able to use your mic. Have a crewmate who isn’t pulling their weight? Use the brig system to let them know laziness will not be tolerated or better yet make them walk the plank into shark-infested waters!   Sea of Thieves is a beautiful game from the moment you set foot on a sandy beach you will be hooked on such fantastic visuals. The water visuals are the best I have seen in any game and you catch yourself gazing at it when you are sailing across the sea. Although cartoon-like, the graphics for Sea of Thieves works well and is one of the strongest features of Sea of Thieves. Sea of Thieves is also Xbox One X enhanced with 4K Ultra HD & HDR. At the opening screen selecting your character was a fun task because I caught myself cycling through the variation of pirates because how well the character design was drawn up. As you progress and gain gold from completing voyages you will then be able to use your gold to purchase more cosmetic items like pirates and clothing. The gameplay with Sea of Thieves is a bit slow, but still an enjoyable experience. Although you are doing the same things over like picking up new voyages, collecting treasure and going to the outposts to trade, the game is still pretty fun. With your full crew working together you won’t find a better multiplayer experience than Sea of Thieves. Taking on rival pirate ships is fantastic and really gets the heart pumping. Nothing is more entertaining then sinking an enemy ship and watching them jump overboard into the sea as sharks start circling in for the dinner bell. Moments like this make Seas of Thieves enjoyable but there is still something missing in the aspect of giving us more content and more challenging voyages. When you start Sea of Thieves your player is already equipped with quite a few items and weapons to help in your quest for pirate stardom. The controls are very easy to pick up as well and you won’t find yourself fumbling the controller is trying to learn the game. A quick controller guide and item list is below for your viewing pleasures.
  • Sword
  • Firearm
  • Banana
  • Wooden Plank
  • Bucket
  • Cannonball
  • Compass
  • Shovel
  • Tankard
  • Spyglass
  • Lantern
  • Instrument
Sea of Thieves is also an Xbox Play Anywhere title meaning you are able to play via Xbox one or Windows 10 PC. Both copies are included with the purchase of the game. Cross-play is supported as well and makes for playing with friends a lot easier if they are on PC or Xbox One. Game Pass is another great way to play Sea of Thieves as this title is now available for download if you have the Game Pass subscription.   Sea of Thieves is nothing short of a great time, especially when playing with a solid crew of pirates. On a whole, the game works well, plays great and does keep you coming back for a bit more. Overall repetitive aspects of the game can be overlooked but are still there looming on the horizon as you wonder if there will be something more. Graphically Sea of Thieves is beautiful and truly does paint the picture of an unforgettable open-world pirate adventure game. Gameplay does feel slightly sluggish but don’t let that discourage you from playing this wildly fun multiplayer experience. Overall Sea of Thieves is a game worth playing and will keep you entertained, but lack of variety could have players dropping anchor quicker than expected.   Cheers Folks!
