With the announcement of PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro, Sony also announced 4 new peripherals as well. New PS Camera, new Wireless Headphones, new Dual Shock 4 controller and a official vertical stand. The new lightbar-on-touchpad version of the DualShock 4 that accompanies both new editions of PS4 will be sold individually for $74.99 CAD. A redesigned PlayStation Camera has all the same internal features as the original PS4 version, but now comes in a cylinder shape, and with an angle-adjusting stand, presumably to allow for easier use with PlayStation VR. It also costs $79.99 CAD The Platinum Wireless Headset includes 7.1 virtual surround sound, 3D audio for games that support it, noise-cancelling hidden microphone and a 3.5mm audio cable for connecting to PS VR or a mobile device. Will be going for around $129.99 CAD A new, translucent vertical stand will allow mounting of both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro (which won’t fit on Sony’s original official stand), and will cost $34.99 CAD My take on it?  I like it when new accessories are launched but I am not too sure about these. Yes it is good to improve your products but add more light on the Dual Shock 4 isn’t the best option. The controller is already known for horrible battery life I am not sure what will happen now. I hope they have improved the life on it. The wireless headphones look good and fashions 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound, which is always good. I have GOLD series for PS4 and they are awesome. I wonder how much more improvement will these have. The camera and the stand didn’t need upgrade but it is nice to see SONY is working hard to make their products better for the future.
