Dead Alliance Review

Dead Alliance Review

As a fan of zombie games I was really excited to play Dead Alliance before its release but when I actually got my chance to play this game I was slapped in the face with a glitch filled and boring shooter that could have been something great. The whole concept for Dead Alliance is actually great but the execution with this game was just terrible. Single player is actually a useless mode and I guess the developers knew that because you can just purchase the multiplayer portion of this game only. Now single player is just a bot driven add-on which plays out exactly like the multiplayer modes in the game. You can play a horde style game mode but that is super boring when playing alone.   [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKcnwvKIh-Y[/embedyt]   Multiplayer is where this game was supposed to shine but the graphics felt dated and the gameplay was just awful and full of bugs. Although I did enjoy the map layouts the game modes in multiplayer are your standard for any shooter as well. Now the concept of this game is that you can control the hordes of zombies with certain weapons and use them to attack enemy strong holds. There are devices that would distract zombies or push them away from your strong hold and I really did enjoy controlling zombies as weapons but the game was still lacking even though the concept was fantastic. You can choose from team deathmatch, capture and hold, king of the hill,  free for all and a few others but these game modes did not have you coming back for more. Time after time zombies would glitch on-screen with them floating across the map after each kill. The aiming set up for this game is probably one of the worst I have ever played and it actually makes you want to put the controller down and stop playing the game. Objects on the map just seem to disappear at times and never come back. Most parts of the maps are not textured either. It felt like I was playing a washed up shooter from 1999 on my 56k modem setup.     One highlight from this game is the customization for loadouts which I actually thought was great. Full custom loadouts from the weapons, attachments and skins. As you progress you can upgrade your killstreaks or perk options as well.  This really did shine and was just the only strong part about this game. The concept for Dead Alliance is fantastic but it was just poorly executed and it almost seemed like a rushed release. Poor graphics and a game full of a bugs isn’t what we were hoping for. The gameplay is slow and boring and the game just feels like a big let down. Some bright spots are still in this game as I mentioned with the custom options available for loadouts but it isn’t enough to grab your buddies and play this game for more than 30 minutes. I am sorry to say but this game is not worth the money. Cheers Folks! This game was review on the PS4
