PlayStation & Microsoft Make Their Mark on Fan Expo!

Of course, we couldn’t goto a Fan Expo without going to check out the goods with the leaders of console gaming. So off we went to the loudest area of the floor, the gaming area and our first stop was Microsoft. They certainly did not disappoint, on the main screen they had a competitive challenge taking place called “Beat the pro”, which was a head to head challenge with a “pro” in DC: Injustice 2 (great superhero, vs game) After watching two people attempt to beat the “pro” and get defeated handedly, I decided to keep it moving and check out another game that is set to be released later this year and that is Middle-Earth: Shadows of War. Microsoft had set up a few demo displays (all with insane line ups) to test the upcoming title and we were right there to catch some in game video! Things started to pick up and the line started to grow and space started to get crowded so we kept it moving. We went to check out what Nintendo had in the works but I must say, for the amount of space they had, Nintendo really didn’t show case anything. Two, maybe three games (Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and I believe Arms – could be wrong on arms) Lastly we went to see Sony, and what the team at PlayStation had in store for the future. The future looks good and in my opinion we saved the best for last. PlayStation was showcasing 4 games and one VR game. The first game we saw is a much anticipated title, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, where I was able to get some competitive in game footage of two friends going head to head. Also on showing was Crash Bandicoot N.sane Trilogy, which we were able to bring you guys some in game footage and Call of Duty WWII (which the footage for this one was corrupted) To finish our tour of the PlayStation Zone, we ended went to check out Grand Turismo Sport VR. Although I couldn’t give you the actual VR experience at home I can tell you that when you have all the equipment to replicate a proper simulation, Grand Turismo displayed the best and most realist VR experience I’ve had to date (a very common quality amongst PlayStation VR games).
