The Roccat KOVA Aimo – A Smart Move by Turtle Beach

A few months ago, Turtle Beach acquired a gaming; mouse, keyboard, and headset company named Roccat (pronounced Rocket). As an avid consumer of anything Turtle Beach, I was excited to see what was so special about Roccat’s equipment that would provoke such an acquisition. Luckily, our contact at Turtle Beach was kind enough to provide me with the Roccat KOVA Aimo, in the hopes I would see what made Roccat such a valuable company to acquire. The Roccat KOVA Aimo is a fantastic gaming mouse, considering it’s relative low price of $49.99.  With the power to customize up to 12 unique button assignments, control of both the scroll light, and the back wrap light with a potential of 16.8 million unique color variations, and its ergonomic shape (considering it’s an ambidextrous mouse) is extremely impressive. I’ve been using it so much lately I can hardly remember what my overly expensive Razor Naga feels like. The initial set up of the mouse is relatively easy, and once you have all the settings just the way you like them, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything you don’t like. Especially you south paw gamers. The Roccat KOVA Aimo works in conjunction with Roccat’s Swarm software, to help you customize your color preferences, your DBI switches and your mouse speeds, as well as button assignments and polling rates.   Overall, I’m extremely impressed, and I can’t wait to try out some of Roccat’s other inspired gaming inputs.
