Warriors All-Star: “Warriors All-Star is a hack and slash game by Koei Tecmo. It is a crossover based on the long-running Warriors series, featuring an array of cast taken from various titles owned by the company, similar to the Warriors Orochi series. It was released on March 30, 2017 in Japan. It will also be released along with a PC version on August 29, 2017 in US and September 3, 2017 in Europe.” The primary setting of Warriors All-Stars is a kingdom relying on a magical spring to sustain themselves. When the king of the kingdom suddenly dies and the spring begins to wither, the widowed queen and priestess of the spring, Sayo (informs her three charges, her children Tamaki and Shiki), as well as her nephew Setsuna, that the spring must be restored using the power of otherworldly heroes. When Tamaki attempts to summon the heroes using the last of the spring’s magic, the summoning goes awry, and the heroes are scattered throughout the land. Each of the three charges proceed to recruit the various summoned heroes to their cause in a race to restore the fountain and claim the throne for themselves. The story then turns its focus to a hero selected by the player before the first mission. This hero is generally joined by the other heroes from the same series of origin (characters who are the sole representatives of their series are joined by characters from a second series), who are in turn recruited by one of the three charges for their cause; the second mission introduces the two other rival claimants to the throne and their respective forces. At this point, the story branches off into three broad campaigns, based on the royal heir that has recruited the hero. Each of the three campaigns has a special condition that must be met for the story to switch to a fourth campaign, in which all heroes will be available for use. Destiny 2: “Destiny 2 is an upcoming online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game in development by Bungie and in assistance, Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios. It will be published by Activision. It is set to be released on September 6, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a Microsoft Windows version scheduled for release on October 24. It will be the sequel to 2014’s Destiny and its subsequent expansions.” Gameplay will be similar to that of the original Destiny, which was described as a first-person shooter that incorporates role-playing and massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements. The original Destiny included on-the-fly matchmaking that allowed players to communicate only with other players with whom they were “matched” by the game. To communicate with other players in the game world, players had to use their respective console’s messaging system. Destiny 2 will feature a more optimal way of matchmaking called “Guided Games”, which will allow players to search for clans who may need additional players for activities, such as strikes or raids. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 will be divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. Divinity: Original Sin II “Divinity: Original Sin II is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. The sequel to 2014’s Divinity: Original Sin, it is set to be released for Microsoft Windows in September 2017. The game’s plot takes 1,000 years after Original Sin, in a time of wars and religious persecution, Bishop Alexandar the Innocent declares all Sourcerers to be criminals, so a group of four Sourcerers embark on a quest to defeat him. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite “Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is an upcoming fighting video game in development by Capcom. It is the sixth main entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series of crossover games. Like previous installments, players control characters from both the Marvel Comics and Capcom universes to compete in tag team battles. Infinite features two-on-two fights, as opposed to the three-on-three format used in its preceding titles. The series’ traditional character assists have been removed; instead, the game incorporates a tag-based combo system, which allows players to instantly switch between their two characters to form continuous combos. It also introduces a new gameplay mechanic in the form of the Infinity Stones, which temporarily bestow players with unique abilities and stat boosts depending on the type of stone selected. The game is planned for release in September 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. Infinite was designed to be more accessible than previous Marvel vs. Capcom games, resulting in several changes to the series’ fundamental mechanics. The game also features a larger emphasis on storytelling, with the series’ first cinematic story mode. The plot follows the heroes and villains of the Marvel and Capcom universes, who must work together to save their merged worlds against a new threat, Ultron Sigma.” Total War: Warhammer 2 “Total War: Warhammer II is an upcoming turn-based strategy and real-time tactics video game developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It is part of the Total War video game series and a sequel to 2016’s Total War: Warhammer. The game is set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy fictional universe. The game is scheduled to be released for Windows-based personal computers (PCs) on 28 September 2017. Total War: Warhammer II features turn-based strategy and real-time tactics gameplay similar to other games in the Total War series. The game’s four playable races in campaign are Lizardmen, High Elves, Dark Elves, and the Skaven (not officially confirmed). Those that own races from the first game will have the same races unlocked for multiplayer in the second and a grand campaign map spanning the first and second games’ campaign maps will be released in a patch after launch. The game’s campaign will be more narrative oriented than the sandbox campaign of the first game with each race battling to save or destroy the Great Vortex over Ulthuan.” Cuphead “Cuphead is a run and gun platform indie video game by Canadian brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer operating as StudioMDHR Entertainment, drawn in the style of 1930s cartoons. As Cuphead, the player fights a series of bosses to repay a debt to the devil. The game was inspired by the works of 1930s cartoonists such as Max Fleischer’s Fleischer Studios and sought to keep the works’ subversive and surrealist qualities. Cuphead is scheduled for release in September 2017 on Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.” Fifa 18 “FIFA 18 is an upcoming football simulation video game in the FIFA series of video games, developed and published by Electronic Arts, and is scheduled to be released worldwide in September 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It will be the 25th instalment in the FIFA series. FIFA 18 is the second instalment in the series to use the Frostbite 3 game engine, although some versions of the game use a different game engine. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions include a continuation of “The Journey” a story-based mode that was originally in FIFA 17 entitled “The Journey: Hunter Returns”. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, known as FIFA 18: Legacy Edition, do not contain any new gameplay features aside from updated kits and rosters.”

The plot is set in a fictional history of real-world events and will act as a prequel for the series, recounting the origins of the struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with liberty, and the Templars, who desire peace through order. The story is set in Ptolemaic Egypt and follows Bayek, a Medjay, as he works to protect his people from threats. The open world design lets players freely roam Egypt. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world can be navigated on foot, horseback, camel-back or boat. As was the case in Syndicate, Origins will not feature any multiplayer gameplay.” Call of Duty WWII “Call of Duty: WWII is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It is the fourteenth primary installment and first Call of Duty series game to be set primarily during World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008. The game is set in European theatre of the war. The campaign is centered around a squad in the 1st Infantry Division, and follows their battles in the Western Front, while the multiplayer expands on different fronts not seen in the campaign. Zombies mode also returns. Similar to its predecessors, Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter game but it removes the advanced system of movement present in the three previous Call of Duty titles, which included double jumping and wall running. Instead, it features a return of traditional movement to the series, taking it back to a “boots on the ground” gameplay style. The game does not feature an unlimited sprint mechanic, seen in the previous two titles. Instead of a “slide” movement mechanic, which allowed players to slide quickly on the ground, WWII features a “hit-the-deck” mechanic that allows the player to leap forward and throw themselves on the ground in order to get to cover quickly, similarly to a previous mechanic known as “dolphin dive” in Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The game was announced on April 21, 2017, with a reveal trailer released on April 26, 2017. The game is set to be released worldwide on November 3, 2017.” Crackdown 3 “Crackdown 3 is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One with development being headed by British developers Reagent Games and Sumo Digital, with former Realtime Worlds head and series creator David Jones being involved in the project, and published by Microsoft Studios. Continuing the series seven years after the release of 2010’s Xbox 360 video game Crackdown 2, the third title focuses on Microsoft Azure-powered mass scale destruction that enables everything in the game to be destroyed. Largely retaining the sandbox elements from the past games, Crackdown 3 will feature destructible environments which can be triggered by players. Crackdown 3 is set to be released worldwide in November 2017.” Need For Speed Payback “Need for Speed Payback is an upcoming racing video game developed by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Artsfor Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the twenty-third installment in the Need for Speed series. The game was revealed with a trailer released on June 2, 2017. The game is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 10, 2017. Need for Speed Payback is a racing game set in an open world environment and will have three playable characters, with different sets of skills. It will be focused on “action driving” and will have the three main characters working together to pull off action movie like sequences. It will also feature dynamic weather system and day-night cycle which effects the gameplay. Unlike the 2015 Need for Speed reboot, Payback will include offline single-player mode. The game takes place in Fortune Valley and follows the three main characters: Tyler Morgan (The Racer), Mac (The Showman) and Jess (The Wheelman) as they attempt to take down “The House”, a cartel who controls Fortune Valley’s underworld.” Marvel Super Heroes 2 “Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an upcoming Lego-themed action-adventure video game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Oneon 14 November 2017. It is the sequel to Lego Marvel Super Heroes and the third installment of the Lego Marvel franchise. With the core gameplay following the same style of past Lego titles, the game features the ability to manipulate time and a four-player competitive superhero battling mode. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2′s storyline will center around superheroes from different eras and realities of the Marvel Universe as they fight against the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror in a battle across space and time. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective. The game features a similar gameplay to its predecessors and other Lego video games, alternating between various action-adventure sequences and puzzle-solving scenarios. The ability to manipulate time is allowed to players directly from the new open world of Chronopolis, which is a myriad of 18 different Marvel locations (including K’un-L’un, Attilan, a Hydra’s empire, a Marvel Noir version of New York City, Knowhere, and several other places) linked through time and space. The game also introduces a new four-player competitive super hero battling mode, allowing players to fight each other cooperatively in battle arenas.” Star Wars Battlefront 2 “Star Wars Battlefront II is an upcoming action shooter video game based on the Star Wars film franchise. It is the fourth major installment of the Star Wars: Battlefront series and seventh overall, and a sequel to the 2015 reboot of the series. It is under development by EA DICE in collaboration with Criterion Games and Motive Studios, and published by Electronic Arts. Unlike its 2015 predecessor, it features a story-driven single-player campaign and multiplayer character classes; it also features cross-era characters and locations from the original, prequel and sequel Star Wars movie trilogies. The game is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 17, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.” Vampyr “Vampyr is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Focus Home Interactive for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is scheduled to be released worldwide in November 2017. The plot revolves around Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has turned into a vampire. Coming to terms with his undead condition, he must deal with being torn between the Hippocratic Oath and his newfound bloodthirsty nature. The player is under no obligation to kill to finish the game. Dialogue options can be used for hunting prey to feed on, which replenishes strength and levels up the lead character. Weapons and supernatural abilities are employed while combatting enemies. London serves as a fictionalised open world composed of four districts, which can all be destroyed based on the player’s actions. Vampyr takes place in London during the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. The setting was researched by travelling to London and the visuals were made with fictional and factual reference points in mind.”
