ARE VIDEO GAMES EASIER TO BEAT NOW A DAYS?

0
The days of having to leave your console on because it was time for bed and you couldn’t save your game have now come and passed.   With gaming today you will never know that struggle of getting so far into a video game only to die on your last continue. Back to the start of the game you go only to start raging as you play again because you got so far and fucking blew it!

Fucking Mike Tyson!

I also remember putting the game on pause to go eat dinner but only to come downstairs and notice the game has frozen. That was another struggle of my young gaming life. Tears would pour down my face because I worked so hard to get to that point in any game only to have my dreams shattered by my mom screaming for us to come eat dinner. The struggle was fucking real and to those gamers out their today you will never understand!   When I look back at those gaming days I still wish they made some video games like that today just to have a little bit of substance in the games we play. Doesn’t have to be every game because I think I would continue to lose my shit if I couldn’t at least save once but give us a little challenge now and again. Hey some games do fucking challenge the hell out of us(Dark Souls you bastard) but I still finding gaming to be way to easy now with people just flying through campaigns on easy mode just to get achievements. Any campaign mode I play now will always be on Hard mode because I want that extra challenge and maybe going forward developers can had game modes where you only get a certain amount of lives or continues.   dbhptxtpad0x2cbuel9s   When playing games today I tend to lean more towards multiplayer because I find some campaigns to easy to beat and just not as fun as multiplayer. With some games only being 6hrs to beat but if you just speed run through the game what is the point?. Back in the NES days it was rare to have a game you can save in let alone even survive past level 3 unless you master the fucking game patterns! and those guys who speed run through old school games you guys are fucking hardcore! Below is my favorite speed run on the net and this guys smokes Super Mario Bros 3   [embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wz3BuYYhnn0[/embedyt]   In games today I think developers don’t want to make games super challenging because these kids or even adults today won’t buy the games. That’s just my take on it but for me I want that challenge of gripping my controller if I only have one continue left to try to beat the boss or something. Makes you want to play the game more strategic and figure out your every move before you make it instead of just running in and dying because you can just pick up where you left off tomorrow.   I guess I am just that old school gamer who is hating on everything new, well not everything new because I still love a ton of games now and will never stop gaming of course. In the end I want more challenging game modes in campaign or better yet take out easy mode and just make it fucking painful for us to play! that way we get better and stronger and hey that can lead us into multiplayer gaming for those who only stick with story mode and are too scared to jump into multiplayer.   Some of the hardest games I have ever played were on the NES. Battletoads was one of my favorite games but to this day I have never beat it because you have very limited lives and the game is pretty damn tough or maybe I just suck ass at gaming. Mega Man and Ghosts N Goblins were some other tough games as well that fucking challenged the hell out of you growing up. Try playing those games now and let me know how that goes for you and DON’T use cheat codes!!   2219621-nes_battletoads let me know what you think. I am too old school on this matter or would you agree with me about having tougher games and less save points and continues. I also want to know your toughest games of all time and games you have just given up on because you can’t beat them. comment below!   Cheers Folks!
