During PlayStation’s
The Future of Gaming reveal stream earlier today, developers BluePoint Games and Studio Japan have finally announced which IP they are remaking for the next iteration of Sony’s hardware.
To the enjoyment of many fans watching,
Demon’s Souls remake was announced to be coming to the PS5 in 2021, with a stunning overhaul in visuals and, presumably, gameplay mechanics. Little info was provided on the title other than minor gameplay teases showing off how advanced the game will be on next-gen hardware. Those who have kept up with the current rumor of titles potentially coming to the PS5 will no doubt be pleased to see the confirmation of a
Demon’s Souls remake, albeit not as surprised. For months now, BluePoint has been teasing its involvement with a potential remake of an older PlayStation exclusive, with all signs pointing to a former FromSoftware title.
No exact date or timeline was given for the
Demon’s Souls remake, only that it is to be expected on the PlayStation 5 in 2021.
