EA Thinks this year will be “better”

So a little while ago I wrote an article about how EA is buying out companies and trying to make them “better” but in the end they end up flopping. Well with the announcement of Battlefield V some people at EA were looking for a lot of praise. EA wanted to hear “finally a game that people are asking for!”. Many of EA’s games consist of many micro transactions to be able to advance in the game or you will have to play many many hours of grinding and battling to earn enough to buy one thing that won’t even make a difference. Well people had been asking for a game from them before Battlefield V was announced. It was a Star Wars game that was along the lines of a game play like Uncharted. But with the Star Wars will not be happening due to the fact that Amy Hennig has left EA and was the creative mind behind the game. She quoted “I have not worked at EA since January, technically, legal. Yes. This is the problem, it was hard enough for them, but people were immediately, asking them ‘is Amy working with you?’ and the answer was ‘ well we’re in negotiations…’ like, hmmm. It was, sort of the soft pedal answer.” She then confirmed that her Star Wars game has been shelved. Well with that I can see in the minds of EA that their better year will consist of Battlefield V and a whole crap load of micro transactions. Because in my mind, that’s how they do things to earn money! Keeping an eye on their banks and not what would be best for the gaming community. If you look at any FIFA or NHL games, you see that you can buy all the good stuff with real money. Saving up that money in the game takes forever and honestly, if you have other things in your life and play video games when you can, the only way to stay up with the crowd is to buy whatever it is they are offering. Even their new Command and Conquer game on mobile has micro-transactions!!! (I know most mobile games do) For a company who wants this year to be “better” I don’t see that happening only because they focus more on the leveling up and ways to get money from the gamers. Let me know what you think. Is EA going the was of just wanting peoples money? Or do you see them making good games and good choices?   Keep Gaming everyone!
