Greedfall Review

It’s time for another RPG game with 60 hours of game play and lots to learn as you go along. From the beginning of running around the city and talking to everyone possible, you complete main missions and some side missions which of course earn you rewards along the way. Leveling you up and gold so that you can purchase new weapons, or armor. Being able to battle men in the city, to going out to islands to battle amazing looking creatures, and bosses you won’t be disappointed in the battles. Combat is divided into the standard strength, agility, and magic attacks, while weapon choices are setting-appropriate things like rapiers, maces, and rifles. While being able to customize the options that you’d like to use it is a fully flexible system. Being able to use long range weapons and go in the for kill with close range combat weapons to deal more damage. You’re also allowed to have help from certain AI players that are a definite benefit at times. Dodging is a major part of this. You can’t just run in and start killing. Some enemies get good hits on you and you’re forced to defend. I like this aspect as it makes you have to play strategically. GreedFall’s story does shine is in the cinematic cut-scenes making the story more memorable, which bring the drama and action to its peak. As its story climaxes, these emotional scenes grow closer together, as do the consequences of decisions you make throughout the game. The details are fantastic as the uniforms and buildings have a lot of detail to them. When in a conversation with someone it does seem like they only wanted the characters mouths to open and close while talking, but I did enjoy the whole walking around and talking to different people to find out if there was additional missions I could complete. I personally have put about 40 hours into the game and having a blast with the battle mechanics and wanting to battle more. There are parts that I seem to get “dash boarded” but I’ve found in some games that it happens and you just need to start the game up again and keep going.   Check out my video review, as it shows you the beginning and examples of what you do that can change the course of your path.   I do recommend this game and an enjoying it a lot.     Keep gaming everyone!
