An upcoming Lord of the Rings MMO, which already includes developers who previously worked on games such as Destiny, World of Warcraft, and Planetside, is now on the hunt for a senior character artist. The add discloses some interesting information, including the search for “an art style for [our] game that is different-at-a-glance from the games and movies that have come before [us].” What that means is anyone’s guess, but we can assume the LOTR MMO will be something unique and refreshing, in a market that has become somewhat stale. The add listing goes on to say, “we need an artist with bravery and artistic skills to help us do something new.” and that their looking to create “fascinating heroes, unsettling enemies and breathtaking cinematic characters in a variety of settings.” With the recurring theme of distinct styles, expectations for LOTR MMO’s individuality will be high.
