In it’s natural transition into the world of PC gaming, Rockstar has released it’s new Games Launcher, allowing the ability to “quickly and easily access your Rockstar Games PC collection in a single place, across both digital and disc-based titles including ones purchased from various other digital stores.” In my opinion, this is just another fighter, entering the battle of the Game Store Wars, causing further splintering within the gaming community. However, for a “limited time”, just by act of installation you can receive a free download of GTA: San Andreas for the PC. As a responsible gamer, who would rather add to the community rather than take from it, I generally avoid illegal torrents from developers that I like. So a free copy of San Andreas is actually quite the deal. Time will tell if the Rockstar games launch will provide anything other than the nonsense of another game store to manage on my desktop, but for now, Grove Street here I come.
