Recently I have dusted off my NES and have slowly started getting back into retro gaming. Well seeing that I can only play about an hour before I start raging like I did when I was young. Lets just say I am happy this new mini NES console is going to have some much-needed upgrades like in-game saving to help me out.
Another cool upgrade will be the ability to play around with the pixel format of the game. There will be a perfect pixel option which will show everything in a square pixel view or you can opt for that retro style like you are playing on your grandmas old crusty tube t.v. Games can also be displayed in 4:3 Ratio.
Every game that is pre loaded on this console will now have the option to save your progress. This is like any emulator that you may have played in the past. This is helpful considering a lot of these retro games are tough as hell to beat and having that extra back up could come in handy when you feel like smashing your t.v with your controller.
The only down fall of this new mini NES I think would be the fact that you cannot add additional games to your console. Don’t get me wrong there are more than enough classic games on here to keep you busy but having that option to load up more games would have been sweet.
Do you think Nintendo will release a Super Nintendo or Nintendo 64 mini console next? I think it would be great from a collectors point of view but does Nintendo really think this will save them in this huge console war that is going on now?
Let me know your thoughts below.
Cheers Folks!

So excited for this to come out! Definitely psyched that it will have a save option. Really hoping the game quality is better too!
its going to be a sweet little system. Has some really awesome games on it as well. Quality should be a bit better but not by much.
