This year at Fan Expo 2017, NXL had the chance to visit the tech corner of the Expo (one of my most anticipated moments of the weekend). I will say that I was disappointed that the allotted space wasn’t much and the only sponsors that were present to showcase their products for us at Toronto fan expo were: MSI, Nvidia, Corsair and Canada Computers.
Aside from the lack of space due to test pc’s, gaming stations, and display stations; I was quickly on my way to explore, what’s top of the line now and what is upcoming in the future.
My first stop was the Corsair’s display’s. Corsair had tables set up with custom Pc’s built using their hardware, hardware such as power source units, CPU liquid heat sinks, GPU liquid coolers and other cooling related equipment.
My second stop was Canada computers displays, and they had two tables and were displaying their accessories for PC gaming/Home PC’s (particularly, keyboards, mouses and other accessories)
Canada Computers were also displaying one of LG’s premier monitors and I am happy to say that I did get some video of the monitor in action. I would of loved to capture more, especially if canada computers decided to take this demo to the next level and show LG’s 38UC99-W’s maximum capabilities.
As I made my rounds, around tech corner; I found myself at the NVIDIA display, one table but sometimes less is more. Nvidia didn’t disappoint in my opinion, they were show casing a beautiful custom PC with their ever impressive 1080TI’s in SLI as well as a sleek case, illuminating lighting and dynamic partnership with Corsair for cooling. (Pretty much looking at this pc build was like looking at my Christmas list!)
Lastly I made my way to the MSI Display, which had the biggest and best presence in tech corner at the entire expo. They had a few tables one displaying custom pc’s, another showing their another build which I was fascinated by, open air concept, aggressive heat sink, powerful motherboard, lightning fast RAM and video card. Another detail about the MSI display I enjoyed was their representatives, I had a chance to speak tech with the MSI team and I can tell they had a strong passion for technology just like myself, it really was a pleasure.
