Long gone are the days of writing out cheat codes on pieces of paper and neatly folding them into your game box so you would never forget where they were. When you grew up in my gaming era we had a wonderful thing called the Game Genie. With the Game Genie you were able to modify your games from the start-up screen where you could enhance your lives or weapons in certain games just to name a few perks or cheats as they call it now. As I grew older the wonderful world of the Internet came out and we had access to cheat codes at the press of the enter button. At home we didn’t get a computer right away so I was forced to write down all the codes by hand and bring sheets of paper home filled with my notes and cheat codes from the school’s computer. We had access to a few sites we used often and would compare cheat notes between our gaming circle. With all the all fun and crazy cheat codes from back in the day I wanted to give you a list of my top 3 cheat codes of all time! enjoy!       #3 Doom- God Mode &  All Weapons Cheat Doom was a fantastic first person shooter on PC and still is to be honest but with how tough that game was harder difficulty settings why not boost your chances of winning with a few cheats. You can activate God Mode by typing in IDDQD & the all weapons and armor cheat by typing in IDKFA on the text screen.     #2 Mortal Kombat- Blood Code When we first saw MK hit the SNES and Sega Genesis it was not packed with the same blood and gore like we loved in the arcade versions. You were not able to activate this on the SNES version but if you had the Sega copy you would need to enter A B A C A B B during the text screen asking about a code. You were also able to activate the options menu code by using the following down, up, L,L,A right ,down during any bio screen. FINISH HIM!     #1 The Konami Code The Konami Code is the most iconic video game cheat code you can possibly think of. It is a code programmed to all gamers minds by now and was first seen in Contra giving you 30 lives! to help you beat that difficult game. It has also been programmed into a few other Konami titles as well. Never Forget!
