The Latest wireless headset from Turtle Beach is a home run!

Southern Comfort

From the moment you place the Elite Atlas Aero headset onto your ears you are in a for a treat. The sleek designed Aero is a sturdy powerhouse headset that adds a cool comfortable experience when gaming for long hours. The headset band is a metal frame that comes with extra padding to keep you feeling comfortable at all times. Memory foam ear cups are a must and we know Turtle Beach wouldn’t leave those out from this design. One of the more noticeable design changes in the Atlas Aero is the collapsible band and you can easily take this headset on the go with you. A brilliant addition is the ability to carry your wireless transmitter tucked neatly into one of the ear cups. Although a wireless headset the Atlas Aero can be swapped from wireless to wired and yes this headset can be used across consoles as well via the cable provided in box.

High Performance

Like all headsets I review my first test is blasting some music to get my heart pumping. The Elite Atlas Aero’s pack a serious punch and the sound quality is fantastic. The first thing you should do is download the Turtle Beach Control Studio. At first the set up can seem overwhelming but once you figure it out, its quite something. The only downfall for this program is that it is only compatible with Windows 10. In the control studio you can literally tweak everything. You can chose from a wide range of preset audio upgrades or simply tweak everything yourself. Turtle Beach’s Superhuman Hearing is a must when playing any shooter and quite frankly anything you play this needs to be toggled on. Mic monitoring is a huge part of gaming headsets and along with the high sensitivity mic, mic monitoring is present with the Atlas Aero. The Control Studio is well planned and the ability to customize your headsets sound and performance is something Turtle Beach has mastered in my opinion especially with its higher tier designs. After a few test runs and fine tuning my headset was ready to rock for some hardcore gaming. Testing this headset across several titles from PUBG, to even some sports games the sound quality is great. Listening to the crowd heckle while playing NBA 2K was awesome. The Atlas Aero improved my ability to track down and locate enemies while playing PUBG. Bullet shells hitting the floor and enemies creeping up the stairs were well documented.

Making Waves

A key feature for the Elite Atlas Aero is the 3D audio. Waves Nx will allow gamers to enjoy life like sound and it really does stand out. The goal here was to help recreate real-world audio in your own gaming world. Turtle Beach has really increased the bar for gaming headsets and features like 3D audio prove that. Battery life is clocked in at 30 hours and when tested I hit very close to that. Stand out features like on ear-controls make this headset easy to use and customization even easier. ProSpecs returns of-course so gamers with glasses fear not. You will be able to use these bad boys.

Rundown

Turtle Beach has nailed it yet again with The Elite Atlas Aero. With a Control Studio that lets you customize your headset performance, Waves Nx 3D Audio and a collapsible headset design this headset isn’t something to overlook. A sturdy design and a comfort level that to me can’t be matched The Elite Atlas Aero is up there with the best of gaming headsets out  on the market today. The Elite Atlas Aero’s wireless design is great but the ability to get wired up and use across all platforms makes it even better. If you are looking for a fantastic PC gaming headset or something to just blast tunes and watch movies with this headset has got to be on the top of your wish list.   Cheers Folks!
