I have reviewed and owned my fair share of Turtle Beach headsets over the years but the Elite Pro 2 headset is something I have never experienced before. The sheer comfort from the second that gel-cooled memory foam hits your ears, you know its showtime!
Cool Comfort
Although somewhat heavier compared to headsets past the Elite Pro 2 is the perfect weight. The design is flawless with the metal headband which is backed by a suspended pad that moulds perfectly. The memory foam gel-infused ear cups are something out of this world and your ears will thank you. Long gaming sessions have never been better and the sheer comfort of this headset is something I have never felt. Turtle Beach has designed one of the most comfortable headsets on the market today.
ProSpecs™ is built into the Elite Pro 2’s ear cups which has an easy to adjust feature. Gamers who are wearing glasses can adjust this giving them a more comfortable fit while gaming. Magnetic ear cups will give you the ability to remove and swap out down the road which is a fantastic feature from Turtle Beach. Also, you will have magnetic ear plates that can be removed which will give you the option to swap them out once new designs are available.
SuperFly
The Elite SuperAmp™ is a fantastic device that can connect via Bluetooth. Accessing the Turtle Beach Audio Hub on your phone is a fantastic way to have gamers in control of their settings. It has never been easier as you can change settings on the fly via the app. You can customize the Elite Pro 2’s settings any way you want by adjusting presets in the app. Turn on Superhuman Hearing™ to gain a huge advantage for games such as PUBG is a must.
You can adjust EQ presets as well ranging from signature sound to bass boost. You can even change the details on how bright the LED or colour of the Turtle Beach symbol is on the Elite SuperAmp™. Mic monitoring on the Elite Pro 2 is the best I have heard on any headset and is also available for fine-tuning via the app while connecting via Bluetooth.

Here Comes The Boom
The 50mm Nanoclear™ speakers are designed specifically for Esports and let me tell you I have never heard such clear audio coming for a set of gaming headset speakers like I have with the Elite Pro 2. You won’t notice any distortion in sound during gun battles or explosions. The Elite Pro 2’s speaker frequency response is clocked at 12Hz – 20kHz.
During party chat with friends their audio comes in clear and crisp and with the TruSpeak™ technology built into the mic my audio came in perfectly. The mic itself can be removed for sessions where you are not playing with friends. Also available on the cord itself you have the option of muting and unmuting your mic. Now I would have liked this feature on the headset itself maybe beside the audio jack but don’t let that be your deciding factor on getting this headset. Cable length is perfect and you won’t be scrambling around trying to untangle yourself. Make sure to turn on Xbox Windows Sonic Surround via the settings to boost up your headset. Using the Elite Pro 2 for recording during streaming was a fantastic treat as well. Typically gaming headset microphones aren’t the most ideal for streaming or recording audio but I had no complaints on this department as the sound was unmatched and just crystal clear.
The Rundown
The Elite Pro 2’s sheer comfort and unmatched power is a delight. The Elite SuperAmp™ is a perfect addition to this powerful headset and the ability to customize settings via Bluetooth with the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app is flawless. I have never felt so comfortable while gaming during long sessions and the gel-infused ear cups have your ears ringing with joy. Overall this headset truly is the best Turtle Beach headset I have used PERIOD. The price tag may be high but you pay for what you get and you get one of the best gaming headsets on the market today!
