What’s Coming In The New Division 1.2 Update?

So last week we were finally graced with information regarding the 1.2 update everyone is waiting for. Well here it is, all the new stuff coming and fixes being sent out with 1.2. Keep in mind not all information for The Division patch 1.2 haven’t been released but most have. Ubisoft has said that this week in state of the game we will get a reveal for the rest of the stuff. So lets get to it:
  • Phoenix credit max will now be doubled to 2,000 max.

Well I guess this is good so we aren’t forced to just waste the extra credits we get after we hit the current cap of 1,000. Now hopefully they add new items that we can use our Phoenix credits for.
  • The new incursion “Broken Circle” will have the same requirements as the current incursion “Falcon Lost”. 

  • The name for the new incursion will be changed in time for the release of 1.2.

They decided to keep the current cap of 240 for now which i’m fine with as a lot of filthy casuals are still trying to catch up to the players with more playtime and the hackers of course. As far as the name change, I don’t really see a reason behind it or why it is necessary at all.
  • Reckless and Balanced talents will be fixed to work as intended.

  • Sentry 4 piece talent will also be changed to proc as intended, requiring non auto weapons in order to proc [pistols, shotguns, snipers].

I’m totally cool with these changes as of right now the meta game is just sentry 4 pc build and SMG. We won’t be seeing so much beast mode in DZ from people getting melted after gaining the 3 sentry marks, and will make for some longer battles between players. Reckless and balanced getting a fix works to, it will give players a chance to explore other talents and gear sets to fill those slots.
  • “Toughness” will now replace health and will amalgamate health + armor.

  • Damage mitigation will be increased to 75% over the current max of 65%.

Hopefully this will give players a better indication of how they stack up defensively without always having to go into their survivability menu to check on their current damage mitigation. Bolstering the damage mitigation won’t be easy as stated to hit that 75% mark, players will have to sacrifice some of their other stats.
  • Performance gear mods will now get a buff to entice players to use them.

  • New gear sets that will be weapon specific.

  • Higher percentage of weapon drops.

AND FINALLY!
  • A NEW 200+ DZ BRACKET!

This is probably the most desired addon to the patch! We will now have a 200+ DZ which will drop ONLY HIGHEND DIVISION TECH, and 240 Gearscore items. Enemies will be 32-34, however players playing in this DZ will be able to get much better gear than anywhere else.
