Announced in the Nintendo September Partner showcase, a new title in the Disgaea series is here. In Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, players will take control of Zed, this game’s protagonist. According to the game’s trailer, Zed becomes stronger the more he dies, leading to the use of some form of “super reincarnation”. Players will be able to level their party members into the millions and deal trillion points of damage while trying to take down the God of Destruction. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will be available in summer 2021.
This wasn’t the only RPG Nintendo had to show off, Rune Factory 5 was also announced in the presentation. Players will take control of a young man or woman with no memories as they take up a job as a peacekeeping ranger in a small town. Day to day tasks will have the player harvest crops, go fishing, and engage in battle. Begin your life anew in Rune Factory 5 when it drops sometime in 2021.
