As pre-orders ramp up for Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, the dev team dropped a gameplay trailer showcasing their adaptation of the Beholder.

The beholder is one of the more iconic monsters for those not familiar with Dungeons and Dragons Monsters. It generally boasts a range of attacks that use each of its eyestalks for a different magical ray.  These fearsome creatures are so magically powerful that their dreams can make their way into reality.

Hagedorn, the Dreamer

The trailer features the boss battle for Hagedorn, the Dreamer; their rendition of a beholder.  Tuque Games has stated that having individual abilities for each eye would be too complicated due to technical limitations. Still, fans can expect to see a few familiar rays in Hagedorn’s arsenal. 

D&D Dark Alliance is set to release June 22, 2021, for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Stay tuned for more as we ramp up for the title’s release.
