A Nintendo direct styled presentation for Rivals of Aether was recently held where multiple announcements were made in regards to various projects involving the Aether universe. The most exciting reveal however was that four-fan characters created for the Steam Work shop will be coming to Rivals of Aether as official fighters in late 2021. 

The Steam version of Rivals of Aether allowed fans to insert their own created characters and stages into the game. This was a very popular addition, spawning over 1500 fan created characters. The four selected characters were… 

Mollo– A Moth rioter who makes use of powerful fire explosives in combat created by a Steam user known as Giik 

Hodan– An Ape sage who wields a long blue scarf or towel as well as manipulation over water and Steam. Developed by Steam users Rare and Ravyn. 

Pomme– A Mouse songstress able to use her powerful voice and mastery over music to overwhelm her foes. Developed by Steam users Moka, Eli, RubyNights, TZ_Music. 

Olympia– A Mouse fighter inspired by classic fighting games who is capable of generating gem-stones as gauntlets. Developed by Giik and TZ_Music as well as Sprite Star, Placebo and FlamingLiberation.

These four challengers will be joining the roster of Rivals of Aether Definitive edition as a free update on both Steam and Nintendo Switch. What are your thoughts on each of these fighters?
