BF4 Servers Back to Life With Release of Battlefield 2042 Trailer

0

With the recent release of both gameplay footage and cinematic trailer for  Battlefield 2042, Battlefield 4 is experiencing a massive surge of players, both new and returning.

Since the gameplay trailer dropped on June 20th, during E3, servers on BF4 have continued to fill each day, hitting a peak this past Friday, and causing a small crash of EA servers. Reportedly, the gaming giant had to create new servers and allocate more attention to Battlefield 4, for the first time since it was released 9 years ago.

Though returning gamers to old classics in anticipation of a new release is hardly uncommon, the sheer volume of players returning to Battlefield 4 is off the charts. Whether this translates into the probable success of BF2042 is anyone’s guess, however, it certainly looks to be the case. Battlefield 2042 will release on October 22nd.
