Every Big Announcement From PS4’s State of Play

0
We all know that Sony is skipping E3 this year, so they came up with a Nintendo Direct like presentation: State of Play. The presentation gave us a lot of games to look forward to, and it’s good news that Sony is giving a lot of attention to VR as well. The presentation opened up with an Iron Man VR Game, but that’s not all; Hello Games, also has a big update for No Man’s Sky and it’s going to be playable in VR soon. We also got to see a trailer for both Days Gone and Mortal Kombat 11. So, if you missed the fast-paced presentation, here are some the of the biggest games that people must pay attention to.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IJgh1Vvtgc[/embedyt] Like, what I mentioned earlier. State of Play kicked off with Marvel’s Iron Man VR. Developed by Camoflaj alongside Marvel Games and World Wide Studios, the game puts players behind Iron Man’s badass suit whilst the Avengers Theme is playing! There are no further details about this game, but I’m hoping that it would take place as the same universe of Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4.

Crash Tag Team Racing

We finally racing again like it’s 1999. The remastering of this game is one of the biggest announcement of this presentation, the game also features a skin to look like the classic polygon we all know and love. The game launches on June 21 of this year.

No Man’s Sky Beyond VR

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUGZYh2HxHM[/embedyt] Ahh, No Man’s Sky, the phoenix of video games; the game came out bland, and was later resurrected into a better game. No Man’s Sky: Beyond update will now support VR, and players will now be able to play through the entire game in VR. Now, my dreams came true. I’ve been asking for a great space exploration game for VR, and now my wish was granted. It will also release physically in stores.

ReadySet Heroes

ReadySet Heroes is an isometric dungeon crawler, and it features a four-player multiplayer and it will force you to fight other players in a race to get all the bounty in a dungeon full of monsters. The game comes out later this year.

Blood & Truth

Here, we are met with this game in the middle of the presentation. A promising story-based VR game filled with over-the-top Hollywood-like set pieces. It has a comedic style of writing to it, I am very excited about this one, as VR never really has a good quality story-based game yet. So, for you VR fans out there, you might want to look out for this game. Blood & Truth is available on May 28 of this year. Half-way through the presentation, viewers are slapped by eight VR Games. I will not list all of them, but I will only highlight a few that caught my attention.

Mini-Mech Mayhem

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI2bY7FRYmk[/embedyt] Mini-Mech Mayhem is a turn-based VR strategy game, it tries to emulate the soul of a table top. You can start wrecking your friends and strangers you come across on June 18 this year.

Trover Saves The Universe

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-pgN89U3FI[/embedyt] A comedy adventure game made by the brains behind Rick & Morty. The game already has the essence of the show, and it looks like that the game will provide us some cosmic hilarity, that I thoroughly enjoyed in the show. You can start saving the universe with Trover on May 31 this year.

Falcon Age

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHgY8BBoHbs[/embedyt] Falcon Age is a first-person, single-player action-adventure. As you get to see the point-of-view of Ara, and you will learn how to survive by Crafting, hunting, and gathering items. This game will be coming out on April 9 this year. A quarter through the video, we, the audience was shown a scary VR game.

Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi8ut4whWPY[/embedyt] As if playing Five Nights At Freddy’s isn’t scary enough, you can now play all five games that have been released before in VR, I would definitely enjoy playing this one more, as it will make me crap my pants. You can now experience the horror this spring! So, that’s it for VR, almost the whole presentation we were shown a lot of VR games to look forward to. So, if you want to know more of the VR games that they announced, watch the presentation yourself, it is very quick and straight to the point. Finally, here are the two games that a lot of people are most excited for, Days Gone and Mortal Kombat 11.

Days Gone

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKtaOY9lMvM[/embedyt] Ahh! Days Gone, is one of the most anticipated games for this year, I’ve been keeping my eye out for this game, and we finally get to see a poignant story trailer that a lot of people would enjoy. Days Gone is an open-world post-apocalyptic action game, starring Star Killer from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. You can start slaying a huge wave of Freakers April 26 this year.

Mortal Kombat 11

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOoHebQdO8o[/embedyt] Mortal Kombat 11 opens up with Johnny Cage punching Kano in the groin while Ice Cube’s Check Yo’ Self is playing in the background. The Story trailer has a comedic tone to it, and we are shown that all the Kombatants are fighting themselves, Old VS New. MK11 will also come out this April 23. So, what do you guys think of the games that were announced in the State of Play, and how do you guys feel about Sony’s absence for this year’s E3?
