Showcased in the Super Mario 35 anniversary direct, there’s a new way to play classic Super Mario Bros as Super Mario 35 comes exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online. Players will compete against foes near and far as they platform their way to victory in a new Battle Royal. Defeating enemies will send them to opposing players, however, be aware since this also works in reverse. Making use of the item roulette will be the key to overtaking and outlasting other players until the last Mario standing wins. Super Mario 35 will leap its way onto Nintendo Switch Online October 1st and will be playable until March 31, 2021.
Players will also be able to experience four Super Mario classics in Super Mario All-Stars. This contains Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3, and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels; all sporting a visual and audio bump up from their NES original versions. Super Mario All-Stars will be available on the Super NES Nintendo Switch Online collection today.
Lastly, the original Super Mario Brothers will be playable on a Special Game & Watch system. The console will feature a full color, liquid crystal display, and double as a clock. There will also be 35 surprises for players to discover, including the ability to play Super Mario: The Lost Levels and the classic Game & Watch ball. Game & Watch Super Mario Brothers will launch November 13.
