For those who have been living under a rock, Hades released last year to critical acclaim and is finally making its way onto PlayStation 5 in a few short days.

A winner of multiple Game of the Year awards, Hades surpassed all expectations to become one of 2020’s most “must play” titles. Taking narrative inspiration from Greek Mythology and implementing the rogue-like gameplay loop of titles such as Dead Cells, Hades instantly solidified itself as an Indie darling and hidden gem among every other title to release in 2020. Supergiant Games are no strangers to having their titles receive critical acclaim, with the likes of Transistor, Bastion, and Pyre all being revered as Indie titles worthy of everyone’s time. With the release and success of Hades, however, the small developer has quickly become a household name and a worthy challenger to other AAA developers.

With the release date of Hades being this upcoming Friday, August 13th, the review scores are already pouring in and, t no one’s surprise, it’s a smashing hit.
