Yesterday, Nintendo presented their first Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase in which viewers were treated to a glimpse of what their third-party developers had been working on for Nintendo Switch. One such developer was ATLUS; best known for series such as Persona and its sibling series Shin Magami Tensei. To close out the presentation, it was announced that Shin Magami Tensei 3: Nocturne would be receiving an HD remaster on Nintendo switch. Originally releasing on the PlayStation 2 in 2003, this critically acclaimed entry in the Shin Magami Tensei series will see players taking control of a young boy who got caught up in the apocalypse while visiting a sick teacher. Now, in a realm known as the Vortex World, players will utilize his new powers, granted to him by Lucifer, to survive against the demons that inhabit it. Shin Magami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster has been confirmed to release in 2021 Audiences also received their first look at Shin Magami Tensei V since January of 2017. While much is still unknown about this next numbered installment, the game is described in it’s trailer as an epic role-playing game in which “order itself has crumbled and chaos reigns over all”. Players will be placed in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo where demons fly overhead. Shin Magami Tensei V is listed to come out in 2021. Other highlights from the showcase include DLC packs for Cadence of Hyrule including new playable characters, 39 new music tracks and a new campaign for Skull Kid.
