Closing out Nintendo’s E3 direct was a collection of news for various Legend of Zelda titles and products. A short trailer showcasing the first wave of DLC for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was up first, detailing what players can expect once the update arrives. This includes the guardians from Breath of the Wild becoming a playable character. New weapons for Link and Zelda were also highlighted; including the Master Cycle Zero. The first wave of DLC for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will drop on June 18th.

Similar to the Super Mario 35th anniversary, The Legend of Zelda will be receiving it’s own Game & Watch classic product. Players will be able to experience the original Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and the GBA version of Link’s Awakening all on this device. A special version of VERMIN will also be included and the Game & Watch will arrive on November 12th.

Lastly, the long-awaited sequel to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has finally received a gameplay trailer. While no title was given, audiences could spot details such as Link possessing a new arm that seems to allow him to manipulate elements, like fire and water. Hyrule also seems to be sent into the sky as Link and Zelda are separated. The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is slated to release in 2022.
