Our Exclusive Nintendo Booth Tour at E3

Luigi’s Mansion, Marvel’s ULTIMATE Alliance, and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games!

The weeks after E3 are a proverbial roller-coaster of emotion. There’s such an overwhelming hunger for what’s to come, that the only way it can be satiated is to absorb as much of the content related to your desires as you can possible endure. That’s why we’ve found it prudent to show you our time at the Nintendo booth, and the private tour we so fortunately received. During our time with Nintendo, we were able to play some of the biggest upcoming titles. This includes Luigi’s Mansion 3, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Unfortunately, we we’re quite constrained on time, and couldn’t play to our hearts content. Therefore, this wont be so much as a review, as a quick sharing of our experiences. Reviews will come closer to their respective release dates!

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was a blast to get into. We had the luxury, despite the time constraints, to enjoy both the skateboarding events and the boxing. The controls handled smoothly, and the mechanics we’re easy to understand. The competition that will inevitably arise amongst friends is something that I’m personally looking forward too. If it can even remotely resemble Mario Kart, or Super Smash Bro’s Ultimate in that field I’ll be a happy man. All signs point towards a success.

Luigi’s Mansion 3

I was personally able to play Luigi’s Mansion 3 for a couple of minutes, before or resident “wannabe” pro Matt had to take over out of disgust. I have to admit I haven’t played a ton of Luigi’s Mansions before, however my colleague could barely contain his joy while playing. While discussing with Matt about the game, he decided right there and then that LM3 was going to be the greatest of them all. I myself will reserve my judgement until I play through the first two. They’re on the list.

Marvel’s ULTIMATE Alliance

Oh man! Out of all the games we had played that day, this by far was my most favorite. The three of us from NXL and the lovely Julie from Nintendo Canada PR, played together as an alliance of Marvel’s greatest heroes. I myself was Thor, and together with the Hulk, Starlord, and Wolverine we were able to win the day and defeat the first boss. Working as a team is integral, and the mechanics make it easy to do so. You can join together to create these monstrous wombo-combo’s, or attack hordes of bad guys individually with little care in the world. Thor was magical to play, and based on the looks of my co-workers, Starlord, Wolverine and the Hulk were as well.

That’s it from us! Make sure you stay tuned in, so that you can keep updated on all of our proper reviews. E3 is over, and our patience will be tested. I wish I could write more about the Nintendo experience, but everything is very hush hush at the moment. Hope you enjoyed what little we could say.
