Well last night was pretty epic in the gaming industry. The 2016 Game Awards started off with Geoff Keighley handing out the Industry Icon Award to Hideo Kojima in a speech that was heartfelt and long time coming. It was great to see Kojima finally get an award after being tied down to Konami for all those years. The rest of the show was packed with awesome world premieres and some rather interesting musical guests. All and All it was a fantastic show and listed below are all the awards and winners for the 2016 game awards!!

overwatch There you have it folks! Overwatch winning game of the year and beating out some pretty strong titles. I am also happy that Inside won a few awards as well. 2016 was a fantastic year for gamers world wide. Let’s see what 2017 has in store for us.

    Overwatch really seemed to be the bell of the ball. What are your thoughts Jrock ? Did you agree with the out come and did you think any titles were shunned ?

      Hey Zaeus, Blizzard and Overwatch did clean up a bit at the awards. Don’t get me wrong Overwatch is a fantastic game but I do not think it should have won game of the year NOPE lol. I was a bit shocked that Battlefield 1 was not a nominee atleast. That game was great. Also Gears Of War 4 should have gotten a nominee. My vote for game of the year was Battlefield 1 and it was not even mentioned :(. ah well. All and all the awards show was great and It was a awesome year for gamers. Hopefully 2017 will be another great gaming year
