Top 5 Controllers

Top 5 Controllers

Time for another top 5 that will either make people agree with me, or just choose their own path for controllers! different models, button configurations, cords, and wireless. Everyone has a favourite design that best works for them, and with the addition to accessories, you can’t go wrong! I’ve been playing video games for a long time, and I’ve been able to try out many that are available, so with that I’m going to jump right into it! 5) NES controller With only a D-pad and an A and B button you can basically get the grasp of any game quickly. It doesn’t mean you’ll be good at it, but in most cases it’s only a jump and attack, so it’s pretty basic but still one of my favourites. Just remember to blow into the cartridge before you attempt to play a classic NES game. 4) Original Xbox controller Even though it has been re-released on Xbox one as “The Duke” the original controller is still a classic. With buttons all over the place, and in need of big hands to be able to handle it, I still found it fun to play with. The one thing I always had trouble with was trying to hit the black and white buttons while playing games, thank goodness they changed them to the LB and RB buttons. 3) PlayStation controller Now I will admit, I’m not a huge PlayStation fan but their controllers are cool, and really did change things for the better since the PS1. Adding internal rumble features, and focusing on giving people wireless options and touchpad features. The one thing about PS controllers is that they don’t seem to change the design much, granted it works but come on Sony, try mixing things up! 2) Nintendo JoyCons With motion controls, multiplayer options since each JoyCon and be used as an individual controller, these little bundle of joys make playing games more fun. Being able to swing tennis rackets, or having shootouts with your friends. The JoyCons make it high on my list. 1) N64 Controller This one is still my favourite. With all the scrapped knuckles from playing Mario party, to adding the rumble pack and playing Star Fox, this controller was so original that it will always be one the best. With a hidden “Z” button under it, and trying to use the joystick and stretching your fingers to hit the “L” button I still enjoyed the frustration while playing with friends and laughing late into the night.   So may controllers, so many styles for gameplay. Games are meant to be enjoyed so make sure you get the controller that is right for you. Let me know what controllers you think are good.   Cheers,
